Can you move a toilet or shower drain?
Usually yes. On a crawl space it's straightforward; on a slab the concrete must be cut and patched, which adds cost.
Do I need a permit for bathroom remodel plumbing?
Moving or adding fixtures, drains or supply lines typically requires a plumbing permit and inspection. Replacing a fixture in the same place usually doesn't.
What is plumbing rough-in?
Rough-in is the stage where new supply, drain and vent pipes are run inside open walls and floors, before drywall and tile. It's inspected before walls are closed; fixtures are set later in the finish stage.
